Labouchere Roulette System

The Labouchere Roulette System has been around for a number of years and is know by several different names such as the Split Martingale, the Cross-Out or the Cancellation System to name just a few.

This system doesn't determine which wagers you should make but how much you should wager.

To start using the Labouchere System you will need to write down a series of numbers. If doesn't matter what numbers you write down but to start I would use low numbers like 1, 3, 5, 2 etc. It doesn't matter what order they are in as these numbers will be used to determine how many units you will be wagering.

Lets use the sequence above as our number series. To determine your first wager you take the first digit from your series, in this case it's the number 1 and add it to the last digit in the series which in this case is the number 2. We add them together to determine the number of units to wager. 1+2=3 so we will be placing a wager of three units where ever we like (lets wager on Red). Luck would have it that the wheel landed on 18 which is a red number so we win.

After winning you cross off the first and last digits in our number series. So our series 1, 3, 5, 2 becomes 3, 5 because of the win. Since we only have two numbers left we add them together 3+5=8 and get our next wager of 8 units. Since red was lucky for us last time lets stick with 8 units on Red. The spin turned up Black 11 which means we lost.

When you lose in the Labouchere System you need to add a number to your series. The number we add in this case is the number of units we just wagered which was 8. So now our number series looks like 3, 5, 8. This also means that we will now be wagering 11 units on our next wager. I like Red so lets see how our 11 units on red work out. A loss so again we add the number of units wagered (11) to our series 3, 5, 8, 11 and place our next wager which will be 14 (3+11=14). We win again which means we remove 3 and 11 from our series and place a wager of 13 which is to total of the two remaining numbers in our series (5+8=13). Our next spin is Red 27 and we win which brings our series to an end.

When your series ends you start over with the same series of numbers or if you like you can use a new series of numbers. If your series at any point has only one number left that number is the number you will use to determine the number of units to wager. So if 5 was our only remaining number then we would wager 5 units.

Most players of this system will add a number of 1's at the start of their number series to control how fast this progression grows. That choice is yours but as always test this system to see if it will work for you.
